oil change questions``

hi all...
ok so i just got my g couple month ago...
i did not ask the dealer for maintenance record. and there were no oil change marks on the top left of the windshield..
does g35 have a warning light for or recommended lights on dash board that will tell us when we need oil change?
how often do you guys change your oil?

thanx for reply.

+1. You can have no problems with changing it early. Only when late.

Also when you buy a used car always assume none of the fluids have been changed.

How often you change it all depends on how you drive, what type of oil you use and how **** you are about those types of things. For every member of the forum there's a different opinion. I use full synthetic and go about 5k between changes.

everything
warning light? What you need that for? Change it every 5000 miles if youre running synthetic.

If youre unsure, change it now.

Not directing this towards you, OP but people today(especially Americans) are so dumb and lazy. Automatic lights, automatic parallel parking, automatic blindspot detection, what happened to being aware of your surroundings and your car when youre in it/performing maintenance on it?

yeah, but you have to manually reset it and you can change the intervals, maybe even turn it off... so basically, the OP cant rely on it having been set the last time the oil was changed
