have u guys tried taking out the pump tank and cleaning the sensor that reads the level? I would try that first bc it worked for me when I replaced my stock one for a twin pump.

If I remember right it was some kinda breather on the filler neck causing that issue. my 03 suffered from it bad... Lucky for me my 04 does not.
