I second blak max's question

I am not seeing a code on the dash, but I do know that while driving, if I hit a bump or a sharp dip, my headlights briefly flicker, several dash lights will cycle on and off, and my speedo will reset (go to 0 and back to my current speed) at least once. My radio has even cut out and back on. Not a total loss of power, but is a significant concern.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If you guys still think it could be a crank- or cam-shaft sensor, that's the route I'll go...I found them on e-bay for $40 for the crankshaft sensor.

that sounds like a loose connection, could be a ground check your battery terminal etc..

The crankshaft one is easy to get out. If you jack up the car, it's easily accessible and only takes a minute to change out. I was told by Josh at Sewell parts online that you should replace both cam sensors and the crank sensor all at once or your problems are likely to come back. My car behaved exactly like what you're describing and replacing the 3 sensors fixed it. Sewellpartsonline has great service and their prices are basically wholesale for OEM parts, plus you get a discount with your g35 driver id, so they're hard to beat. Also, the cam sensors can be changed without removing the intake manifold as some people do. The trick is using a small 1/8" drive ratchet, 1/8" socket extension and I think an 8mm socket to remove the bolt that holds each sensor in. I was able to change out both of my cam sensors without removing the intake. The cranks sensor is a piece of cake though as it's pretty accessible.
