Grease on Passenger window

Grease on Passenger window
...I apologize if this topic has been brought up before, I know I saw it on a 350Z forum but couldn't find it here -
How bad is it for you guys?? It's bad on my car - everytime I roll the passenger side window down, a thick, brown line of grease is stuck on my window. And then when I roll it up, it smears it nicely along the window. It takes an ample amount of Windex and alot of elbow grease to get it off.
Does anyone know if this lasts forever? Or is it just a new car thing. If it's a permanent issue I'd expect a recall soon, because I know it happens to the 350Z's which obviously is made by the same company.

Re: Grease on Passenger window
Same thing happens on mine, but on the driver's side. It is really annoying, and make me not want to roll my window down (which is difficult with as many people that want to stop me and compliment me on my car)!!! How can this (the grease, not the compliments) be stopped?

Re: Grease on Passenger window
I too have the grease. I have given my Infiniti service manager the info (TSB) from nissan and she is seeing what she can find out reguarding Infiniti.
I would HIGHLY suggest everyone calling Infiniti customer service line and bitching that Nissan has a fix for the Z, but their upscale brand, Infiniti has nothing. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
I'll call today and post any info. I HIGHLY encourage everone else to do so. I believe THAT is why the Z has the fix and we don't. They burned up the phone lines to Nissan.

i would think that it's a new car thing, but then you think about it and it really doesn't happen to alot of cars... take it to the dealer and let them see it.

Re: Grease on Passenger window
Dealer has no clue how to keep it from re-occuring. The ONLY way we will get action is to call Infiniti customer service and start complaining.
I am getting tired of the grease smears on my windows!!

Re: Grease on Passenger window
Same problem here. It pisses me off SOOOOOOO much! I have new tint and grease is all over the window. The dealership keeps telling me there is no fix for it yet. WTF is so hard about taking the door panel off and cleaning the excessive grease off the window roller pads. That's my speculation of course. But every time I ask the dealer they say they have now fix for it. Well guess it's time to talk to Infiniti of America again.

Re: Grease on Passenger window
I've had my Coupe since February. The lubricant on the window seems to be getting less and less each week. Roll that window up and down and the transfer has to get less agressive...afterall the lubricant is a residue...and has to disappear with time.
