Same here. It's probably the tires. The G eats through them like nothing.

Ive got the same problem, everytime i turn on the heater it starts smelling like burnt rubber, but i do have aftermarket headers ill check out the hoses later when i get the chance

Also, the car gets HOT for no reason inside the car. WTF is up with that.

haha^ what? are you joking or are you serious man? RWD cars often get a little warm inside, ive never had that issue but i also live in WA where its fairly cool all the time

Really? I've driven the G37 sedan for 1 week (loaner) and it never got hot like the G does.

If you get a crack or tear in a CV boot on one of your axles, the grease will splatter out and when it gets heated up it smells like burning rubber. Check your front cv boots real good.

i think his cars a coupe though so it doesnt thave front axles

hehe... yeah, I'm not thinking straight... just had that prob on my other car with all wheel drive so it came to mind. I had this prob before on my g coupe... it was a plastic bag.

I got the same problem.... My opinion.. i think it might be the in cabin filter... if its dirty and **** and never been changed and over due, putting heat through it makes it smell worse...


just a guess...

yah i think its time to change that out. Im at 46xxx now and i remember hearing it should be replaced at 15xxx.

yea strange how i found this thread.. couple weeks ago i could report of a burning smell as if i ran the car with the e-brake up but it didnt. it also comes through the vent.. check your cabin filter...
