How does this happen? I never had this problem in my 05 coupe but I never ate, drank, smoked or any of that in it and I detailed it frequently.

I've cleaned it off twice with some simple all purpose cleaner wet wipes. OK, not right away, but wiping my interior down here and there, it disappeared, came back, and disappeared again.

it could be that someone pressed the cigarette button and it stayed on for quite a while and didnt pop up and stayed hot causing it to heat up the finish
