Any ideas what could trip "check engine light soon" to come on at 3,675 miles?

Is it me or do the people selling used coupes on the site not realize you can buy a new one for less??

 

There are over 300 separate malfunction codes that can illuminate the MIL.

Isn't it great to have a warranty so every 90 days when you get the oil changed things can be attended to.

Not suggesting you wait.
Everyone should have an inexpensive OBD2 scanner [works on all 1996- 2008* vehicles] so you can read codes and decide the severity..........take it today or wait a week.

* 2008-2010 is probably when new OBD-3 system will arrive.

 

Where would you get a OBD2 scanner, how much $?

 

have you modded your exhaust or cats at all? If so, you prolly damaged an O2 sensor...if not, dunno.

i got my reader on ebay for around 100-120 bucks. i don't know where you live, but here in texas there is a place called autozone which will read your codes for free and tell you wants wrong. of course in your case, just take it to the dealer.

could be as simple as the gas cap not having been put completely on or could be much worse, just depends.
