Youre kidding right? He could have key marks and chips all over his car and we wouldnt even see if in those sh'tty quality pictures. A crappy low res jpg on the internet is about the worst proof of perfection there is.
1/4" if I recall, but the point was that rubber is a more absorbant substance, in direct response to your comment.

As for how it looks, I agree with you. A low res jpg isn't the end all be all of perfection, but it DOES look good from what I can see. Do you think it looks bad because of theory, or because you look at the pic and it really does infact look horrible?

If he likes it, what's the big deal? From the looks of your ride, you made changes and didn't care what people thought (IMO, looks good as well).

Clubs are alike everywhere, the vocal majority dictate I guess.

This. Anything that will go on the front of the car will get chipped. Wether its plasti dip, automotive spray paint, powerdercoating, the stock paint from factory. All will get chipped. If you don't think this, look at your front bumper, the stock paint that has a clear coat protection is full of rock chips and whatnot, which i'm sure costed more than plasti dip, but it is still prone to damage.

lol @ some of the replies

I'll take a better pic with a legit camera in 2 weeks when i go back home
that way not only will you guys get a good quality pic, but it'll be 2 weeks (and 90% of my driving is highway) to see how its kept up

In my eyes, it looks great/couldn't ask for more. I've never seen so much random hate on a product tho lolol

Heres over a month later with plasti diffuser and grill. Its been snowing so its dirty and these are the best pics I got.

No chips or anything, just dirty because of the snow (and also a bad job painting).

plastidip are sturdy as hell, i tested it on a glass counter, peeled it off, held it up then stretch it out then i tried to push my finger thru it. it took more force than i expected it to take in order to rip thru it. plastidip ftw! (if done in the right way)

Previous owner had a license plate which i removed, so now I'm stuck with a towing hook cover hole and 2 accompanying bumper plug holes.
