Car after collision wont start...been 3 months since last started! help with diag
Hey guys....long story short...some uninsured motorist pulled out in front of me and I had to use my own insurance to get everything fixed. There was body damage and odd damage to the clutch assembly. Throwout bearing was smushed and a few of the splines had broken off. car was in perfect condition before so no idea what happen....
So anyways, the body was done (took 1 month) and i took to my parents shop to do the repair work. It sat for 2 months before I gave up waiting for insurance company to respond.
So yesterday I had them replace the clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing. They got it installed last night and attempted to start it. The starter turns over but does nothing. then when you stop, it makes a little backfire pop noise. So they tried it a few more times before pulling the plugs. Plugs showed they were fauled out, so they put new ones in and checked spark...no spark.
The flywheel was never moved, so im "ASSUMING" the crank sensor would still be good...(i ordered another today just incase)....so what is the issue?
Could it be the immobilizer? would sitting without starting for 3 months cause the computer to require anything? any ideas would be great.
Also I should add, the alarm light on the dash goes off when you put the Key in.... is there any other signs that the immobilizer is active?

Battery is still good, full cranking power.
Starter is turning over properly and engaging.
Has Fuel being pumped
No Spark
Alarm dash light goes off after key is installed
no aftermarket alarm
Only have 1 key.
Have tried the 5sec in ignition, have tried unlocking locking all doors, etc.
will be replacing crank sensor in the next hour with a new one just to make sure it didnt get damaged somehow. If it doesnt work, then my only other lead is to reset the key.
need to know if any other indicators will show the immobilizer has been activated

well we found the problem.
The reluctor ring on the back of the flywheel was somehow bent.....was able to bend it back to test it and sure enough the relcutor ring was back in the correct position and was able to send signal thru the crank sensor....
running like **** now, but i thnk the new plugs were fouled....
i have uninsured motorist
