This comment makes no sense at all, just because it has 60 less hp....that doesn't mean jack.......

A 2005 Elise has 108 less hp than my car and will walk me.

My 01 acura Cl-s feels faster than my G, but I know its not.

Having just come out of a modded 2001 CLS that ran 14.6 in the quarter mile I can also say that FROM A ROLL the CL feels a bit faster up through third gear. In 4th gear the automatic dies and it is about 1.5 seconds slower to 100mph than the G. This partly may also be due to the fact that the CL engine is much smoother and seems to sound more like a racecar engine in its roar.

Where the G35 will absolutely desecrate the CLS is when propoerly launched from a stop. The torque difference etc. really gets the G moving while the CL bogs until it hits VTEC. The 6 speed CLS is a different story, but, it is hard to launch hard due to FWD.

i've messed around with an old body e55 amg(99-02)... it wasnt much faster than my G.. i'd say we were actually pretty close to even with an advantage for him esp at higher speeds.

Yeah, I doubt it was an E55 - it would have smoked you if it was, not just kept even with you. It was probably a modded E320.

I watched a race with an '02 E55 and a stock '02 Corvette Coupe, and they were dead even all the way to 110+. It was bizzare to see such a large 4 door move that fast

I saw that one also, too bad that was an old body E55 (02) and not the new one haha! Anyway he def. did not race an E55 AMG, the thing wouldnt have just walked on him but ate him up and then 5 minutes down the road he would have seen the E55! And also benz's are rarely modded, an E320 a G can take with ease, E500 on the highway prob not, those V8's are very powerfull! My friends father has an S55 (02 non supercharged) that my M3 eats up in a low MPH race but on the highway i'll be ahead and he'll inch up and he has an E55 which is ridiculous! Just bought a G55 for the winter and ordered an SL65, he also has 996 TT, Lambo and so on, they're nuts!

Hey guys... just wanted to add my two cents. A bit of a confidence builder... because I haven't had my G that long and still getting used to it. I was getting on the entrance ramp of the freeway yesterday. A "subaru outback" got right on my tail and pulled across to the fast lane before I even got to the first lane - he was gunning it! I know I should have, but I didn't even put my foot down and let him have his fun, but when I got right next to him a few miles down the road, I just laughed at him - It cracked me up! It wasn't a WRX cause I know those are fast but he knew I didn't put my foot down! Sometimes the best "killings" are the ones where you don't even try to beat em!
