spoon feed this n00b..ztube+popcharger question

I currently have stock airbox/filter intake. I want to know if the ztube/jwt popcharger mod is well worth it.

gas mileage/sound/ etc.....very curious

Gas mileage not so much, but should make a little bit more sounds and a little bit of power.

From everything I've read... it's 50/50 and entirely up to you. I've heard people swear they get more horsepower, while others (and some other online research) claim that if you do gain any HP it will be minimum and likely not enough to feel. (Keep in mind that simply unhooking the battery for a 10 minute+ amount of time will reset the computers ECU and will result in the car reverting back to stock... likely meaning you'll feel a bit more power when use drive it until it relearns your driving style) The z-tube removes the sound dampeners our cars came with and instead allows the G to sound a bit more aggressive/louder. However keep in mind tha it's really nothing more then a plastic tube, so its not really doing much. Personally I like the sound of my stock setup, and have no intentions of changin it at this time. I've gone back and forth on the issue over and over and over, and one day I may decide to do the swap, but for me there simply isn't enough reason when there are so many other things I can do that are noticible... (IE body kit, plenum spacer, wheels, spacers, suspension, etc.) As for the Air filter... switching to a high quality filter will make a difference, however it will again be small, and you can always get a nice drop in K&N filter without having to replace the whole shebangabang.

I will say this though.. I do enjoy the looks of a nicely modified z-tube/pop charger setup, so on cool factor alone, it may be worth it.

Z tube IMO is a given, no baffles with airflow and whatnot.

If you want sound, get the pop charger.

For best performance, keep your stock airbox.

This.

Illmatic, that link provided has a great deal of information. Check the link in my signature that will most likely cover a lot of future question you may have. Thanks
