Agreed.

We're talking the bottom of the bumper people, if I made a thread about every time I scraped the bottom of my bumper, I'd be on Driver 19.5 hours a day.

Thing is, its more on the slanted side of the bumper than the bottom. Like you can see it if you stand 20 feet away...

... I dont think that was his point. Simple and correct answer is Dr. Color Chip and go ahead and touch up the rest of you rock chips and other scratches. Took me 1.5 hrs and made my stock bumper look brand new again... Better than when I purchased it!

or just get a Home Depot lip. A lot of people may argue over this bc they think it may cheapen the look of the car but i don't think so. Besides i would rather be scrapping that then my bumper O.o

Well I got the touch up paint from Infiniti. It was $22 for the pen/brush bottle (looks like this). A rip off in my opinion but whatever. I put about 3 layers and it's pretty much all gone. I'll take pics tomorrow. But yay!

(You can still see about 10% of it if you look closely. But at a distance further than 3cm from the scratch, you cannot tell.

Nice job!! I'd have to buy a case of the pens to cover up all the scratches on the bottom of my bumper.

Ive been careful with my G for the most part (typical scraping but trying to keep it minimal) and while in LA for the weekend, I was coming out of a parking garage and it was a good size hill and I managed to scrap the passenger side skirt and then the front bumper as after I cleared the hill, there was no room to angle my G into the street exiting. Call me crazy but I think it had something to do with my buddy who was sitting passenger. There's no scrapes on my side of the car but he weighs about 100lbs more then I do and I blame him, lol.

Think a touch up pen (or three) will do the job? The guys eBay link says hes sold out of OB pens but I'd keep looking if that will help fix this mess I made! Usually the front doesnt bother me but that is noticeable and driving my nuts! The side skirt scrape cant be seen from looking at the car; only when you are on your hands and knees looking up at it. Still...sucks!

By the way Mark2K8, yours came out awesome! You did a nice job! Looks great!

Would this be the right stuff? Maybe I should get a rattle can of KH3 for the bumper and side skirt and just spray nice, light and careful. I used to be a street artist if you know what I mean so Im good with a can.

@ jtierney78: touch up paint should take car of those pretty well. just get it from the dealer if u cant find it online. You probably only need one for those. And yeah, my OP did come out well, although (not 100% why), but the second time i used my touch up pen for another scratch like 4 months after the OP one, the color did not match at all... (did the usual shaking and all that). No clue why...

A front lip will look nice and i dont think its hard to install either. Does anyone know any company that makes the lips painted?

Wow that might be one of the best touch up jobs I've seen in awhile. No worries about the 10%...the bumper will most likely take another beating in the future...it's inevitable.
