Re: So, tell me....
Highs: Power, styling, price to performance ratio, comfortable seats, the looks and questions I get from strangers.
Lows: like any RWD car, hasn't been terribly fun to drive in the Northeast until recently; unimpressive "premium" Bose sound system; little occassional rattles and squeaks that make me nervous it's not really lux enough, but which I probably would ignore in a more expensive car (due to more confidence in the brand).
But honestly, it's been a like a honeymoon for all of the 1300 miles I've driven so far. I love this car more than any other material possession I've ever had. My only regrets are that the option packages didn't allow me to get exactly what I wanted (i.e. wheel package without the ugly interior trim, premium package without the Bose system, underbody diffusers without the rear spoiler). But because that sort of packaging probably helped keep the price down, I can't complain much.

Re: So, tell me....
Ggirl, thanks for the welcome. Cars that I am considering are quite a varied bunch, looking at the Audi S4, Nissan Maxima SE 3.5, BMW 330Ci and of course the Infiniti G35 Coupe.
Thanks to everyone else for taking the time to share your information.

Re: So, tell me....
Welcome to our forum. As you can tell, everyone is pretty well happy with their G, with only a few minor issues here and there. After all they are new models , even the Sedan has only been out a little more than a year. Both have had their teething issues but I would say that they're being looked after.
The main issues I can think of now are loose driver's seat, air conditioning noises (compressor and mounting), rattles and squeaks mostly in-cabin, a few paint QC issues, some sound system issues (mostly CD oriented and quality of Bose), some gremlins in the heater, air cond., audio syetem, and lately a 6M/T gear change problem in a few, necessitating tranny replacement.
Oh yeh, the ever present "cooked right foot" issue, which is a real PITA in warmer climates.
I love my Coupe,(and the Sedan I traded). To my mind the best bang for the buck these days, and one hell of a good ride. Put one at the top of your short list.....

Re: So, tell me....
Welcome!
I was skeptical about this car from all the magazine praise it garnered, but I have had no disapointments and now my friend just bought one. You can tell from the forum this car inspires devotees. Unusual stuff going on here.
The car is multifaceted: from luxo ride to slalom racer and well-put together, with very clever surpises behind very flap, lever and door.
