How to Launch 5AT
Im gonna start by sayin i used the search button and could not find what im looking for. I want to know the most efficient but still safe for the car way to launch my 5AT. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

I brake torque at ~1500 RPM's for a REALLY short time and then I gun it. This way, the transmission wont short shift in first gear. Here's a vid:

I find 2k at the drag strip to be the best.

Pop it in manual mode its faster.

Low tire pressure equals better traction.

sorry if I sound like a noob but what does brake torque mean? do you hold the brake and punch the gas a bit?

Yep, brake and gas at the same time.

Who cares about MPG, normally when people "launch" their cars they are at a drag strip.
