Yeah.....You see that sticker on the gas door? Follow that. Meaning no less than 91

Common opinion is that Chevron and Shell supreme are the best due to their additives, it should not matter really as long as you keep it at 91 octane or above.

Are you 16 years old or something? Just get the highest octane rating your gas station has (most likely either 91 or 93). All you need to worry/know about g35 gas.

I believe that the additives are crap. They just do that to get more people to buy their gas.

This also could have been easily found in your manual as well.

There is already a discussion about this topic, seeing as how gas prices are slowly increasing. As a new member to this forum, doing a bit of searching will go a long way. Lots of members here really frown upon spoon feeding information when there are tons of information already on this board for you to read through. All you gotta do is look for it.

Welcome to the forum.

Get whatever you want... Everyone claims anything less then 91 octane is sacrilige yet your car will run the same regardless. I've run all the octanes and there were no noticible difference or improvement in gas mileage. Ideally you'll run what the manfacturer recommends (91) but the reality is that 95% of the talk here is ego filled hot air. Placebo effect going strong here... Gas prices are likely only going up, and at a point you have to decide if spending an extra $5-8 is really worth it for something you can't feel, on top of the already ridiculous prices.

With only 148 posts you haven't been here long enough to have an opinion that strong and incorrect! When Nissan designed our G35s they recommended premium gas, that's in your manual and on the gas door that's why we use 91 octane. If they recommended regular that's what we would gladly use. That has zero to do with ego but more to do with following what the manufacture recommends and respect for what we drive. You can put whatever you want in your gas tank, and probably will....do we care?

@OP its rookie....there i helped

@hbk i know for a fact my car died and shutdown on the side of the road with 91. You have to think about the areas some people come from. Hills and mountains equals a no no for non premium gas. 5-6 dollars for piece of mind is fine with me.

I'm not understanding your reply. What does running the recommended octane has to do with your car shutting down.
