Look at the numbers and it's easy to see how this happened.
People think the G is supposed to be some supercar or something because it LOOKS sporty.
In truth, it's a lard-a$$ed car with average power by today's standards..
My G (an 05) has 280/280. An 2011 Accord is 274/254 (and gets 20/30 MPG). Accord responds reasonably well to mods. The G is a turd for bolt-ons. If the Accord gets the jump, see ya..

and a better question is, if a G rolls down a road with an accord next to it, which one do u think people will look at?

I'm starting to like the G's more and more lately. And I needed a nice, clean, and cheap daily driver so I'm picking up an older G tomorrow. Now I've driven MANY G's(auto's and 6mt's) newer and older ones and honestly they are a horrible drive. (keep in mind my last three cars were a 375awhp Evo X for 2.5 years, a stock S2000 for .5 years. And a 475awhp Evo 8 3+ years..) so I might be a little bias.. But I'm not buying a G for it's heavy and lazy steering/handling(not just compared to the super fast steering rack/handling of the Evo. But the G really feels heavy and lazy... Or its engine that really doesnt make much torque down low, and feels lackluster up top..
Or it's shaky shifter..(not sure why on the 6mt's I can always feel how the engine/drivetrain seem unbalanced and transmit their vibrations to the shifter...)
I'm buying a G because
A. It's the cheapest sexy car(paying $11k for a very nice clean G)
B. It's a Nissan so it's "fairly" reliable(minus electrical issues, window/seat motors, and trans issues) well... the main components are reliable.
C even tho the car is cheap, everyone else thinks it's a $30k+ dollar car.. Which I couldn't always say with my actual $30k+ Evo X
D it's still RWD and 6-speed so it still provides fun and a proper driving experience
But the main reason is it leaves me with enough money to start building my EVO track/weekend car(2.4ltr long rod high revving 4cylinder with an FP black turbo and E85. Reliable built engine and 650+awhp. All day everyday.)
So my new G with some soon to be released 19x11r and 19x9.5f linea corse lc818 rims and a little sound system with a custom made in dash iPad 2 controlling it.. Lol(that's the plan anyhow) should be a nice, reliable, sexy daily driver.
So who cares if a Honda accord could beat a G.. It's not like Honda has ANYthing to brag about with their unattractiveness and their exciting FWD...

Yeah... I didn't buy this car for the speed or even handling.... If I wanted a fast track car I would have bought a STI like all my other friends have......
But even then... G35 should be faster than Accord... Not just on the strip but auto-x as well.
