1/2 vs 5/16 spacer with Mrev2 question
Hey guys after searching for about 2 hours the only thing I could find was some opinions and no actual facts about this. I want to get the spacer first then get the mrev after. From what I saw 1/2" you can't put an engine cover which I don't care because I don't have on I just wanted to know if I put the 1/2 with the Mrev2 would my hood close? or would it cause problem? and I want to know does anyone actually have any idea with the Mrev2 what are the actual numbers between the spacers? I have seen a few Mrev2s with the 5/16s but nothing with the half inch. Could you please help me out in deciding on which to go with. PS I might be getting a CF hood later on after those mods.
Thank you guys for the help

The hood will definitely close if you have the mrev2 + spacer without engine cover.
I think I read somewhere that the performance numbers are very similar, but i think the 1/2 inch puts the extra power somewhere else in the curve. Do a search for "motordyne 1/2 inch dyno" and see what you get, then compare to 5/16. You should see little to no hp difference. I believe the 1/2 sounds different.

His screen name is Hydrazine. A spacer will do almost nothing for you on the rev-up motor w/o the MREV2 added to it. The 1/2" spacer will give you more power at the top of the powerband and the 5/16" spacer will give you more power throughout the power band. Most people opt for the 5/16 because the power increase exists at the RPMs they drive most often.

I believe MotorDyne sells the MREV2/5/16" Spacer as a package, installing them together is a better idea than separate. Tony has advertised this combo as worth 18+ RWHP or better so it's worth the $$!
