safest drop..

hello...new to the site but had been reading on here for a while..
sorry in advance if this question had already been answered..

I just recently purchased an '06 coupe and planning to put on 20" TSW's...how many inches can I drop my car without having to worry about scraping my front end from speed bumps and coming out of parking lots (and fender rubbing)...and which springs for that particular drop?
I initially thought of dropping it 1" with Eibach springs but having second thoughts because I'm not sure if that's significant enough as far as looks goes...

any advice would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance

Tein s-techs or h-techs. H-techs would be your safest drop where you wouldnt have to roll your fenders and a like stock ride quality. Check the suspension thread theres a lot of info.

>.. that's a redundant questions.
Real question isn't how low you can drop it - it's if you drop it regardless whether whatever springs and still be able to not scrape or get the angles right where you get the least amount possible.

There are people I know who ride stock height and scrape all over and people who are slammed that do just fine.

Tofu already covered it. If you are careful with your driving, any lowering spring will work just fine. Research the thread below for spring information:

I'm on 20s with stance coil overs. This was the best height Not sure exactly what it was but I had NO issues at all and it looked good. I'm lower now but, get coilovers and put it where ever you want it. You can pretty much figure out what is right. Go aggressive with the wheels tho it just looks soooooo much better...

There is no real answer to this question, it depends on the individual. All I was concerned about was closing the gap between the fenders and the top of my tires. Safe drop, if you don't live/drive in a warm climate state under certain conditions it wouldn't be safe!
