Favorite car part and why?
I know this will likely change soon, but this thread currently has 666 views...thats gotta mean something. *looks over shoulder*
Dogstar. Good call on startup noise. Exhaust seems to be the most common favorite. I guess Infiniti hit a home run with their stock exhaust tone. And we all remove the G-tube as soon as we can...huh.

For me - Steering Wheel
It's the command center, the place where you can truly feel a car, I can still remember sitting as a kid behind the wheel of my dad's Rx-3 (not a typo young uns) and prentending to drive. I just loved the leather wrapped steering wheel. The steering wheel can actually make or break a car for me. The G's I would rate above average. I hate the wheel in my in-laws Lexus RX with the wood/faux wood. Feels terrible. It's either hot, or cold and utterly lifeless.

I agree the steering wheel in these cars is pretty great. When I was test driving mine, I admit I didn't like the simple design. It felt a little outdated. But once I got used to it, its been far more comfortable than my honda or acura wheels, and I love the steering wheel controls.
Thanks for the passion, Gary!
Yes the car is lowered. I bought the 350z S-techs as an experiment. I got them locally for $100. I wanted to see how much I can get away with here in San Antonio. There are a lot of steep inclines and such, just wanted to get used to driving lowered. In a few months I'll be buying some BC or Stance coils.

This is a good one, but why do you think they are a must? What do you hold in there?
I use em for the occasional fountain drink, sunglasses, iphone, and toothpicks.

I beg to differ. First of all, "the tail pipes" is ambiguous. I think you mean exhaust, but that covers a lot of ground. Now I assume (since anyone driving a g35 hears it every day) you like the noise our cars make, and you're implying this is your reason for liking the exhaust by explaining in a super cool way that you're not going to say anymore, to do so would be a waste of your time.
I'd like to briefly point out that those who appear cool are traditionally slightly alternative to the normal cargo shorts and sunglasses average Joes. Saying or implying that the sound of our cars is the reason you like them, while casually indicating the source as the exhaust, is kinda disappointing. I don't think being a conformist is typically cool. That being said, I totally believe you're cool, because you drive a g35, so this is in no way a message intended to challenge that. I just expect more from cool dudes.
I really want to know, what about that part is so interesting or pleasing to you that you would name it your favorite? And it wouldn't hurt to be a little more specific on the actual part or type of part.
In a nutshell, a favorite thing is personal, and We need to know a little something about your person in order to truly understand why that part is your favorite (other than that you're a pretty awesome dude, cause that's obvious).
Lastly, as I spend a ton of time policing this thread, you'll notice I am NOT cool. For that I am sorry. Get passionate people!
