LOL. I feel your pain. I'm trying to find a reason too...
Mine have a yellow haze and read on this forum to use wheel polish. I have mothers polish and surprisingly it worked well. I just used elbow grease. If u use a drill and restoration kit use a drill with higher rpms. I tried meguirs kit with a drill and it didn't really work for me but again I think the cordless drill I used wasn't powerful enough. My .02 cents
