foggy heads
ok so my headlights are foggy/turning yellow. I did some search and saw that PlastX was a good product to use. However, one thing I didn't get from the threads I read was when people were asking if they were fogging from the inside or outside. How am i supposed to tell? and what is it meant when you "wax" them so they dont fog up again. Thats the 2 things I didnt understand, so any help would be awesome.

Yea I heard good things about it too. I'm just wondering what people mean by "waxing" the headlights after so it doesn't go back to cloudiness.
Most people believe the yellowness is caused by the sun... basically when u buff and wax ur lights ur protecting them from the sun and other elements just like u would ur paint.

Ahh I see. Any wax you recommend then?

I used some plastX on my old headlights, it didn't amaze me, but I only applied it by hand (I put in as much elbow grease as possible..). If your car is an 03-05 coupe you could consider some new 06+ headlights. That's what I did, can't get cleaner then brand new

You can use metal polish as well to clean the headlights. Most of the time, plastX is not abrasive enough to remove stubborn yellowing/haze. I have used Blue Magic metal polish with great results.
You can use any wax as protection afterwards but some will work better than other.
Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glazeis my go to sealant for headlights and windows.

If your headlights are fogging from the inside.. then you're kind of SOL.. i've got that problem on my right headlight. It's a huge pain in the *** to take out the headlight because you've got to take off the bumper and all that fun stuff then stuck the headlight in the oven and etc etc.
PlastX works great though.
