Painting my billet grill

After receiving a bit of flak about my billet grill I have decided to paint it black.

Since I can't find an aftermarket grill that looks good, I thought this was the best way to go.

Has anyone done this...Any advice, paint type, technique, etc?

Advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

No! Not here!

There's a ton of DIY here. Here's a couple I found for you.

A DIY on painting the oem one.

I to have the billet grill. I painted it black but I wouldn't recommend using cheap spray paint as it is prone to get hella paint chips. I've had this grill for a year now. Not a bad grill but I just ordered the JDM/Skyline grill. Check that out you might like it.

Lose the billet grill and get an OEM emblemless grill.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Hit up Ionic for an emblemless ORM grill. You won't regret it.

You shouldn't change something on your car because the people of the interwebz say it's "hella ghey" or whatever...which as a saying is "hella-oh-two."

if YOU like it, keep it. if you don't, then check out ionic or gialla grills. or mod your OEM. as for painting the billet, i would say, "pass." more trouble than it's worth.

at the end of the day, it's about what YOU want YOUR car to look like. you will never meet 92.4837% of these people so who cares what they think. if you put everything on your car that everyone thought was so cool, then all the cars would look the same.
