I bought my G about 3 weeks ago and I noticed a slight crackling sound in the exhaust tone. I figured it was like that because it had been sitting at the dealership and hadn't started up in a few days/weeks. I just checked yesterday after driving home from work and noticed it's still present. Any ideas? Is this normal?

 

slight crackling on the down rev is normal, its one of my favorite parts of the exhaust note.

 

Well this is just parked sitting at idle though. It sounds like my exhaust ate some pop-rocks.

 

Is it stock or aftermarket exhaust?

 

Everything is stock. I don't plan on doing a whole lot to it.

 

In my experience popping at idle usually is due to a leak somewhere.
