Unhappy Newb In Need of Advice

Hey Guys !!

I am currently in the hunt for my G35 !! I am looking for a Ivory Pearl g35 and have been searching for quite a while. (note: I am located in Alberta, Canada) So a few days ago, I came across a 03' IP 5AT, deep dish rims, black interior leather (I am drooling and about to cry from the joy). BUT, the problem with the vehicle (or is it even a problem?) is that the g35 has a replaced engine from a engine fire that happened with the 1st owner

Now my question is, Does it matter that the engine has been replaced ? Is the engine that has been replaced have to be a "stock" engine (so in other words, is the new engine a engine attained from Infiniti) ? and lets say hypothetically I jump the gun and buy this car, would i be running into mechanical issues in the future ?

To be on the safe side of things, I do plan on bringing the vehicle in for inspection, but before I do this I need some insight....Should i jump on this opportunity to own a IP g35, or continue waiting

Thanks !! and its great to be part of such a wonderful community !!

IP with black interior is rare and sought-after. If you have warranty on the 'new' engine and get it checked out, you should definitely pursue it.

Also be sure you check out the Canada section, post up your car etc. What part of Alberta are you in?

Have it inspected my a trustworthy mechanic and make sure you have all receipts for the engine replacement. If everything is good, jump on it!

This is good advice....^....have it checked out and if they have receipts for the replacement lay down the $$ quickly due to the rarity of the IP/Charcoal interior combination! Good Luck with this, hope it works out....

I'm located in Edmonton. I've been doing my search in calgary too through Kijiji and Autotrader; however, nothing has come up.

Thanks for the insight guys !! The information has been helpful.

^^ Your right, I meant to say for quite a while nothing has come up. But this 03' IP 5AT just recently popped up and has captivated my interest.
