Unhappy Wheels/tires

i have an 03 g35 coupe, need help trying to figure this hole thing..
i went to a shop to buy some new rims/tire , i was trying to get some KONIG 19" but they told me because of the model of the car i couldnt use 19, the only 18 and 20, they said because of my stocks.
so...that means i cant put 19's on my car ?

i really dont want 20's ...i dont want to be rubbing on my fender everytime i hit a bump....any suggestions?

U can get whatever u want..20s won't hit the fenders as long as u get the right offset.. if u have brembos u just have to make sure they clear them.. makes no sense why u couldn't run 19's they look best lowered on stock body..

I know a guy who works for TSW. He's a distributor and gets really good prices on rims and tires. i'm getting hooked up with 19's or 20's black with chrome lip for under 1K. So spending 15 just sounds too much and my opinion. And if you aren't planning on dropping your G then I'd go with 20's because the fender gap with 19's are unnattractive. That my opinion lol

There obviously is a communication disconnect with you and the tire shop.
I'd love to help ya but none of the info u provided really makes any sense.
Obviously our cars can take 19" wheels, maybe they were trying to sell u on a stagnate product, dunno.
It sounds like you need to familiarize yourself with tire/wheel specs.
If you want just pm me and I can help ya out to make sure you get the setup you're looking for.

^^ i agree. Also it would help to go get a second opinion from someone else. Remember they are about business. Some places will lie to get a sale. I've been a victim

+1

I wouldnt go back to that shop for anything.
A little research on this site would provide you with the proper knowledge to make an informed decision when it comes to wheels and tires. The knowledge is there, you just need to take the time to read it and learn it.

You can run 20's without rubbing, just like 19's or 18's..get the proper offset and you will be fine.

Overall diameter will be the same with 20's or 19's. You just run a lower profile tire to get the same diameter.

The offset refers to the wheels not your car. The higher the number the more sunken in the wheels will be. So a +30 offset will sit farther back into the wheel well than a +10. Popular offsets for the coupe range from +15 to 0 for the wheel edge to be either flush with the fender or "Poking" outside the fender well.
