Plastic window button cover

The cover for the window buttons for the driver and passenger, do they pop right off? I don't want to break anything by applying too much pressure. Also what about the small aluminum piece left to the steering wheel? I'm trying to carbon wrap my interior. Thanks!

That's what I was worried about, I didn't want to have to take apart the whole door.

the aluminum piece pops off. if you look at the bottom of it youll see a little indentation. put a flat head in there and itll pop right off. to pop off the console around the window buttons you need to remove the door. there's a diy for this...but basically pop off the aluminum piece and youll see two screws. take these off. then behind the door handle theres a little square plastic piece. pop this off and theres a screw behind that. once all 3 screws are off you lift the door up and you'll be able to access the window control.

That's strange cause I just took my door apart 2 days ago for the 3rd time and my window switch console comes off without removing my door panel... I drive a coupe, u guys must be talking about the sedan.

Yeah, I was talking about the window switch cover/console. I'll try popping it off today again.
