what things typically go wrong at 100k+ ?

04 G Coupe, almost 90k

i have an extended warranty and am already getting work done for the trans and valve covers for free covered by the warranty

what other things should i look into having done before the warranty expires at 100k? i want to get everything i can done for free by the warranty company while i still can so i wont have to pay for it later.

thanks - D

Valve covers, wheel bearings, window motors, door lock actuators, MAF sensor...but if the car was well maintained you should be okay.

i didnt think the compression rods would go bad =/

cuz if i can prove oil consumption i think i can get a new motor too =D

Don't they only cover things that are in need at the present moment? Just have them or a dealership look over the entire car very thouroughly and then replace whatever it needs.

I don't know what exactly your warranty covers, but these items are typical non-wear items that do wear. Hopefully your warranty will cover these:
  • Compression Rod Bushings
  • Transverse Link Bushings
  • Diff/Subframe Bushings (rare, but possible if driven aggressively)
  • Valve Covers (just to round out the list, I know you have this en process)
  • Window/Lock motors (already mentioned)
  • Cosmetic items covered? Yellowing aluminum trim under radio, clock, third brake light
  • Sway bar links (front and rear, but mostly rears from reading on here)
  • Radio working right? I forgot what year car you have, but the 03-04s are notorious for dying.

That's all I've got. Hopefully someone else can add to this list.

I just passed 106k, just regular maintenance stuff is to be needed. As long as you take care of your car she takes care of you.
