For the Work T1S fans...

I love the T1S... but the price tag is killer.. understandable that they are high quality rims, but cant gather the $ or even let myself spend 2-3 grand on rims alone... again, they are the secks in looks. I think I found a good knock off for those of us who dont want to break the bank and get the similar look. Granted, these are "wannabes", so I know Ill get some sort of bashing from the real deal owners, but again, Saving 1-2k by getting some knock offs can go to the car somewhere else.

These are Privat rims, made by Koing.. Ive seen two different variations of the rims, grey and silver. Both with polished lips... They are about 50-60% less per rim then the Works.. They looks similar, not exact though. Without further-a-do (not sure if I did that right, lol)

What yall think.

They look good. I will probably get Rohana Rl06 in all black or Concept One RS8 in Black. I'm not big baller enough or need the ego boost to spend 3K on wheels to just drive to work and back, and occasionally downtown.

I can get the Privat wheels with tires... for 1300 bucks in Miami mounted and balanced.... The tires probably arent anything special and the only problem is they only offer the grey front.. I want the silver front... probably would have to get them sprayed up..

Looks pretty close face/spoke wise, but with the widest wheel width at 9.5, I doubt that the lips would be any larger than the ones they have on the pics. I have a feeling it be really sunked in for the coupes, not to mention that the lexus IS (first gen) has a very mild stock offset to begin with compared to the G35.

If it had wider widths and better offsets, I'd be all about it. I say pass, you'll probably be disappointed with the way it sits on the G

I have been wanting t1s ever since Eurodre had his g35, but i too couldn't bring myself to drop several paychecks on wheels (not to mention my fiance would have my sack in a vice grip). Also found the privats and the Linea Corses. As mentioned above the offsets are more attractive for coupe owners on the LCs, but I think the privats look better. If they offered them in 20'' my current wheels would already be in the private classifieds...

Spacers don't give you bigger lips like lower offsets do. Plus, some people simply don't like using spacers haha.

OP, if you like the wheels then get them. If you can't afford the WORK wheels and these are your alternative, then get them. I'm not against budget modding or replica parts, so long as you don't pass them off as something they're not. It's alright if you can't afford the real deal, but be proud of what you bought and flaunt them for what they are. Nothing wrong with that. Hell, JBF had replica TE wheels and he flaunted those with pride, and rightfully so since they looked great on his car.

We all have different budgets to mod and it is just a more financially savy decision to order a replica if it is cheaper then the authentic. (Body kits are kind of a fine line though, but that isn't what is up for debate) Hell, I have an HKS replica exhaust and I don't regret buying it at all. So if you like em, then get em.

I understand that is your opinion and I can respect it, since everyone is entitled to an opinion. But, who said anything about an ego boost? I ordered my WORK T1S because I can get them in any size, offset, disc face, and width that I want. Are they pricey, yes they sure are. I would rather shell out additional money to get them made to what I dictate, rather then a preset offset that a wheel manufacturer already chooses for you, and in this case, the widest wheel they offer is a 9.5. WORK offers widths 3 inches higher then that. Could be higher, but I've never really did the research.

But I didn't buy them to boost my ego. Let's try not to throw in generalization in the picture.

Agreed, and has anyone ever tried these wheel brands? Any problems?
