Sad day

So it was raining pretty hard .. was driving okay and of sudden a pothole and i hydroplaned, avoided a semi, 2 360's, hit the railing from the left rear and stopping inches from going into a deeply flooded ditch.

Resulting pic attached.

Just dropped it off at the shop so lets what they say. If any of you had similar accident, any idea on the cost im looking at?

Funny thing is that the car shut itself when it hit and it wouldn't start up until i got it jumped. Is this a feature of this car or am I looking at mechanical damage possibly? I was going to test drive but didn't want to take any chances so just towed it to the shop.

Very very sad day for me. That is all.

Damn glad you're okay, except for your emotions. This sounds like an experience I had with hydroplaning as well, luckily I avoided everyone and ended up on the curb off to the side. Looks pretty bad, and I know how it feels man. I think the "not starting up" is a safety feature with the G, because mine did the same thing but after a few minutes it started back up and I was on my way.

Atleast you were in a g instead of a motor cycle. Would of been game over. But is the only damage shown in that pic?

Sucks, but alteast your alright. I would say that you may have damage, because when I was side swiped my car was able to drive away from the accident and I am quite sure my impact was more than yours. GLWR!

Probably around 3-4k in damages

So drove it today and it drives just fine. Tested all the electronics and everything seems to be in good working order. The insurance is going to come look at it so lets see.

Does anyone know where I can find a diagram of everything thats under the rear bumper? I remember seeing a parts site that had one but can't seem to find it. Left the manual in the car.

I know on mustangs, they have a fuel cut off switch in case of an accident. Maybe it works the same way?

Sorry that happened. I recently spun and hit a small reflector post on the side of the highway. Damaged the side skirt, wheel, and quarter panel.

Replaced the Wheel, painted and repaired the side skirt and quarter panel, blended paint onto the door and bumper.

$2700
