Wait you guys are surprised they go after USDM parts kinda like we go after JDM parts, I know a number of people that would trade USDM parts for JDM parts including me.

No, I'm coming from a different perspective - with all respect to my U.S.-based colleagues, I prefer the Skyline branding. It's just that once Infiniti becomes known *here* (as a local brand with full dealer support), re-sale and overall value of the car will be better maintained.

G'day Punchbuggy,

As someone has suggested the same, I throw myself into the fray by saying " we're gonna give you an offer you can't refuse". But first off, what you're doing is rather common in Florida with my Jamaican friends...........none of whom remove/convert their badging, but are ALWAYS shipping badges back to Jamaica for their buddies. (For reasons I will explain.)

Needless to say, they are the same as you cats in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Japan, Bermuda, etc. - right hand steering, driving on the left side of the road.

Essentially, based on the same principle, we North Americans want JDM badging - it's a car guy thing - and you JDMs want N.A. Market badging. Hell, truth be told, we in N.A. all drive a fully loaded JDM Skyline V35, anyway.

So, I'll give your critics the benefit of the doubt. Must be uncommon amongst their circle of G-friends. Whatever. But here's my deal to you. Considering my badge conversion cost me only about $120-150 (U.S.), it is a very inexpensive job, to say the least. Check out my pics.

The whole process was actually quite easy. I ordered the trunk badges online (delivered in 7-8 days), but was able to get the grille insert at a local Nissan dealer. The mate in the part department was even able to pull up the correct part # for the JDM Skyline.............did it without even asking me. Of course, with no Infiniti dealer around, you don't have that luxury. (Mate? Does that make me an honorary Aussie? )

TRANSLATION: Do what you can to order the stuff, since it could be just as easy with the Ebay suggestion. However, if it gets to be a pain-in-the-butt hassle? You PM me your particulars - name, address, etc. I will go out, get the trunk badges for you, and ship them to you, period, end of hassle. Since I have my front grille emblem still - and have no use for it, it's yours. Maybe. I may just get you a new one. Yeah that's only fair.

There you have it, my Aussie friend. An offer you can't refuse. Yes, "No thank you" is an acceptable answer, the point is................you have options. Your call.

Long story short, I keep trying tell the knuckleheads..........G35DRIVER.COM IS WORLDWIDE!!!! And we take care our own.

Nuff said.

I'm in Australia and have a 2005 Series 2 Skyline 350GT Coupe. As many of you know, that's the Infiniti G35 in the U.S. I'd like to change the badging to reflect the G35. So, I'm after the Infinity logo to clip into the front grill (replacing my Nissan logo), and the 'INFINITI', G35 and logo to stick onto the rear boot lid.

Can anyone advise me where I can pick these up in the marketplace and have them shipped over here? I've had a quick scan, but to be honest I'm not clear who I should steer clear of. I already purchased kit from B2autodesign (strut brace and Takeda intake kit), but they can't help with this.

Thanks for any advice offered.

Bozo954, thanks for the generous offer - really appreciate it! I'm currently just waiting on some options to play out and I'll see where I need to go after that. You may yet hear from me...

And checked out the pics. The smoked taillights - very nice against the silver (same as mine). Good call. Might investigate that too!

This is what makes Driver great even with all the new, clueless, immature n00bs that are flooding this site.

Bozo if you do end up shipping him the stuff, let me know and I'll help cover the cost to you as well.

You're welcome, brother. Yes, we'll see how things go on your end, then go from there. The offer stands, i.e., you can relax in knowing you have options beyond Aussie soil from your U.S. & Canadian mates.

Oh, glad you like the pics, too; thanks for the compliment. You have the right idea. Do look into smoking the taillamps, maybe even headlamps, which I've also smoked but not updated pics.

Speaking of, the same car - 2 days ago - I got some respect from a guy I know who drives a Pontiac G8, err, Holden Commodore. I had to give him reverse props, as I've a great respect for Holden engineering, moreso than GM. Been watching them and Monaros/GTOs getting beat up (read: battle tested) dating back to when they competed in the German DTM, and still, of course, in the V-8 Supercar Series in your Australia/New Zealand neighborhood.

Euro/German sports sedan performance, at a better price & value, with arguably better engineering. Camaros, albeit a little on the heavy side, are also part of that platform; we like 'em over here. Not to mention, you should know that some of us yankees are catching your V-8 Supercars every chance we get on SPEED channel.

Last, but not least...........you see what I was talking about just below? No sooner than I think "somebody needs to get this dude taken care of" and post something, here comes Blue Dream .

Otherwise, you take it easy, Punchbuggy (PB). Tell the Nissan-Infiniti enthusiasts in your 'hood we send our regards from North America.

Blue Dream, you are gentleman and a scholar. That's huge, HUGE I SAY!!...offering to help defray the cost. On the other hand, while very appreciative, why am I surrpised? Like I'm the only nice guy around here. That said, we'll see what happens.

Thanks for having my back. Somehow or other I instintively knew I could say WE take care of our own, though I was kinda speaking for myself (or ready to go it alone,as the saying goes). In keeping with my - err, OUR - overall premise, you proved it to be fact and not theory.

THE PREMISE?: One way or the other, come hell or high water, PB gets his Infiniti badges and grille insert.

Nuff said. Take care, and God bless ya, homie.

No worries, I have sent other members stuff on here free of charge because it just seemed to be the right thing to do. We are a community brought together because of our cars, but I consider a lot of these people family and I would do for them what I would do for my blood relatives.

With all the craziness in the world it just feels good to help other people out with no strings attached. Let me know what I can do to help.

Hey guys - I'm touched. Really! The "new, clueless, immature n00bs" comment caught me a little off guard (this is my 3rd Skyline and 10th car after all) but, yep OK, I'm new to G35Driver so I'll wear that one.

I agree that we are a community. I've mailed parts to one of our converted in New Zealand at no cost to them based on the same view.

Regardless, I'm waiting on Nissan to confirm their intent of bringing Infiniti to our golden sands before I take the tear-wrenching plunge to removing the Skyline branding. My intent was to find out whether the rebadging idea was a real option and the cost - I'm hearing that thanks to your generosity and marketplace options it is. Thanks guys - come the time I'll know where to contact you. So, I'm off to feed the kangaroos (nah - that's rubbish - I've only got possums using my balcony for a highway... )

PB I was NOT talking about you, sorry it appeared that way. As the prices of the G have dropped in America we have started seeing a lot of 16-19 year old members that get a G as their first car and think it's like a Honda or Scion; slap a fart can muffler, a big wing, and 24s on the car and think they are the best thing since sliced bread.

So please don't think I lumped you into that category, I rather enjoy your mature look at what's going on with your car and having a clear vision of where you want to go with it. You are one of the refreshing new members here so again, welcome to the family and we're glad to have you!!

Blue Dream, thanks for coming back to clarify. No offence taken anyway. I agree with your views - it's a scary thought to have a car like the Skyline HR32, 33, 34 or even the V35 (G35) in the hands of a newly licensed driver. I've owned all but one, and they are too much car in unskilled hands for my liking...

Anyway, thanks again team. I'll see what's in store over my way for Infiniti and go from there. In the meantime, I'll be lurking. Some great information in this forum. Already tried re-setting the ECU using instructions found here which appeared to work (to my surprise!!).

Well said, gentlemen, well said!!

I've got a good 5 dealerships all around me (locally), so I'm ready to roll at a moment's notice. Plenty of "supply" to feed our demands for proper badging.

Anyway, you guys be cool, stay outta trouble, and we shall be in touch.

it should only cost about $10 to ship the emblems to Australia via USPS First Class Airmail. It takes about 7-9 days to arrive from the US. I've shipped a lot of stuff over there and it is pretty cheap unless you want the tracking # which then you would need to ship Express which would cost a lot more around $35. To the OP, you can order the full set of emblems from the dealership for around $60 + shipping.

I rather be rebadging to a luxary sports (Infiniti) brand compared to Nissan brand. I don't know why kids in the U.S. rebadge to 350gt..Its like the Acura kids rebadging the old Integras to the RED Honda emblems! I agree with the OP.
