Hahah wth. 14? What you driving a v8 lol
The 19-29 mileage is true but for new G's. I guess as a car gets older thy can't retain maximum mpg unless you go get a tune up maybe. I don't regret buying the G. I love everything about it. My next car will be twice as good tho. Gonna get my degree soon (:

When i was stock except lowered with aftermarket wheels i got ~24 mpg on the highway. Installed 5/16" plenum spacer, JWT Pop, Z Tube, and Test pipes that put me at about 21.8 mpg. Got an Osiris Dyno Tune from CIN in Charlotte on the way home i got 27.2 mpg and it looked to maybe still climb a little bit... the computers estimated miles left on the tank started at like 408 when i filled up and ended after a 60 mile trip at 435 lol... i feel like i made some fuel! and i use premium... i did notice in charlotte a station has 100 octane "racing fuel" lol. Should we always put the highest octane at the pump in our Gs?

Well idk a whole lot about gas but I know putting higher octane keeps your engine running better and smoother. So I'm guessing higher octane is better lol then again I'm an amateur >_>

I put nothing but 93 in my car. 14mpg. I'd kill for 18.8, so it's funny to see you complaining.

I use cruise control constantly and accelerate like an old man.

I haven't ran a full tank but i got around 20.8mpg on my 05 6mt sedan with 82k miles. I am doing best to shift around 2.8k-3.3k but here and there i open her up to 6500rpm. I am doing a mix of like 60% city and 40% highway. I put seafoam the day i picked up from the dealership last week and since then have put a new air filter and mobil 1 oil change. Spark plugs, fluids and belts are next on the list. I run 38psi on all 4 tires and try to coast when ever I remember to.

Had it done prior to buying it off the dealer. I just suck it up. No clue what else to really try as most of the stuff to change was new.

If you're driving average speeds on highways and streets, going about speed limit, then something's wrong. I'd get my car checked out if I were you.

That sucks dude. Maybe little little factors account to your low mileage? Windowns rolled down, A/C usage, hard braking. I personally don't trust dealers. They always trying to get the $$$ out of you. Go get it checked by someone else. Something has to be wrong. It'll cost money to fix it but in the long run it's worth it.

Heh living in MA I'm only recently putting my windows down, so it's nothing with that. I've only checked what I know of that I could replace for better gas mileage. At 14 I thought I was doing pretty good since I've read of people getting 8-10 heh. I'll have to try and track down a good mechanic.

Seems Im one of the rare ones that gets decent mileage. Last week I went 494 miles on my tank and still had a gallon left at fill. I regularly get between 400-450 eash tank.

That's just crazy, but awesome...
my best ever was about 430 miles on a full tank and that was 95% hwy with cruise set 65-70. On average I get about 240 miles per tank and that's 95% city with very short trips 6-8 times per day. I have done just about everything I can short of replacing cat's and O2's, car runs like a champ and throws no codes (always 92+ octane).
