Anyone know how to fix power steering?

Before getting new tires i was finishing them off by doing donuts for fun and after the donuts it turned out to fkin up my power steering and now i cant get new tires which was a really bad idea. Now every time i hit those corners i have to force my car to turn.

I went to nissan to get it check out and they said my power steering pump went out, so no power steering fluid was pumping through. Instead of paying 1grand for them to replace a new one is there a way to fix this without getting a new pump?

Sad Day. In the future, make sure you never hold the wheel fully to the left or right, and especially don't hang on it like that. This is likely what caused your pump to fail. Or just aggressively turning it at low speeds.

You almost certainly need a new pump, but you almost definitely shouldn't waste your money at a dealership. Ask your friends, co-workers, parents, gym buddies, etc for a recommended and trusted mechanic that does work on Nissans and/or Infinitis and take the car in with an unhappy face on.

Good luck.

You might want power steering unless you like muscling the steering wheel every time you want to turn.

I would just buy the part from another source and have a local shop (not the stealership) change it out for you. Thats probably the cheapest route.

Give Rick at OC Infiniti for a good price on the powersteering pump 714-650-8586. He always gives us good deals on parts, let him know you're a member on DRIVER....
