Their filters on the other hand are great.
Check out this thread, http://myg37.com/forums/engine-drive...otsa-pics.html
Yea and a purolator which you said was crappy is in that link too. The Purolator is a quality filter, I don't know who told you it was crap.

As I said try thicker oil, youll get more answers at the other forum I mentioned. Syntec 5W30, is quite thin, Try GC 0W-30 from Autozone. Its almost a 40w

I recently picked up an 06 6MT, and my service guy (who has service my FX35 and G20 for years) told me that the "6MT [revup engines] tend to burn oil and that I should use regular oil because synthetics are thinner and will burn off faster." If you're having to add that much oil so often, you're just pissing money away with synthetic. Try using good ol' Castrol GTX dino oil and see if it helps. If not, you'll at least save money.

I have seen them all.
One dealer filled up oil before calling me in to see that no oil was missing, the second dealer overfilled it and sealed the dip stick with a plastic tie so i cannot check the oil and of course at the end of the test only 8mm was missing for 2000 miles.
So now I will try the following:
Cleaned the PCV valve, ordered an oil catcher to place between the PCV and intake manifold, added 1/4 of Lucas, 1/4 quart of high mileage 10W40 Castrol GTS, will not use engine break or downshift, will make sure the engine does not exceed 4000 rpm and will watch it every 500 miles.
Based on more test results I will decide what's next!
