Aftermarket Parts Compilation

I was thinking today that one thread with a general parts list would be very useful. it would not be completely detailed but would provide a starting point for people looking to mod their car.
i personally am a noob when it comes to anything performance so i know this would at least give me a starting point when i start working on my car.

I will start making a table , but if anyone could give me some information it would be greatly appreciated.

Info needed:
Part type (plenum spacer, intake, exhaust...)
Price range (legit dealers , not ebay knock off prices)
What it actually does (short definition)
Installation Difficulty (beginner to professional required)
Effect (hp # increase, increased handling,...)

I realize that searching long enoug, all of this will be found, but a quick reference guide could not hurt.

If no one has interest in this, please do not flame. Hopefully some people will reply to me and if anything i will be able to use this for my own knowledge.

i was gonna start with the basic and most popular upgrades:
plenum spacer
catback exhaust
intakes
strut bar
sway bar.

the big ones to start and see where it ends up

Already done. It's www.google.com

=P jkjkjk

The idea is good but there's just no way.. Here are some of OUR threads and I hit the 10,000 character limit on them. The best example is our body kit thread

https://g35driver.com/forums/exterio...dori-more.html

and thats only for the coupes.

Or even our Invidia thread.. with products from ONE manufacture (Invidia)
https://g35driver.com/forums/exhaust...le-prices.html

ah, i would use those threads as a second resource. im trying to make one as a VERY VERY first starting point.
like to say , im looking for 100 hp with $1000. a plenum spacer will get me 10-30 hp (making it up) and a exhaust will get me 200hp for $50. then start looking at actual brands and parts

Instead of doing this all in a thread I would suggest using Google Docs and putting everything into a spreadsheet.

You can make it so everyone can see it but only certain people can edit the document.

I think its a "good" idea but one that would require a great deal of time.

Lets try this... A google doc i can make too if anyone has interest in that
  • Intakes
  • Increase the Air flow into the engine
  • Exhaust
  • Reduces back pressure on engine, freeing up power
  • Also gives a more unique sound
  • Plenum Spacer
  • Strut Bar
  • Provides support to the top of front wheel struts, reducing roll and increasing stability while turning
  • Lowering Springs
  • Lowers the center of gravity of the car, reducing body roll on turns
  •
