g35 cup holders

Does anyone know of a fix for the g cup holders? They are so bad at holding any drinks its not even funny, if i have bottles of water in there and the car turns the bottles will lean over both cup holders and if i turn really hard they'll fly inside the car, same with cans of soda.

anyone got anything?

the only thing i know is to take the whole plastic piece out, then the holes are big and deep enough mostly...

....there should be a dirty joke hidden somewhere in what i just said

Isn't there another soda/water bottle on the door panel?

What im wondering is if someone came up w/ a replacement for it(like an oe style replacement from some third party place) or some DIY mod that makes them more individual for the thing you put in there so it cant slide into the second cup holder.

Cup holders in these cars were an after-thought...

Engineer 1: Wow, this car is nice! We did a fantastic job.. I need something to drink, want something?
Engineer 2: Sure, a Big Gulp from 7-11 (lol Big Gulps in Japan).
Engineer 1: Here you go. I wonder if this would fit in the cup holder you designed.
Engineer 2: Wait, I was supposed to design the cup holder? I thought Hito Ya Namae was supposed to do that?
Engineer 1: Are you serious?
Engineer 2: Well, let's just put one on the side of the door and in the center console under this sliding compartment thingy. I hope drinks won't get in the way of people trying to shift their cars.
Engineer 1: We don't really have time to make a holder that will keep drinks snug, but I came up with a little plastic divider so people can utilize two slots for drinks! They'll just have to drive super slow around corners to avoid the drinks from flying out.
Engineer 2: We are so awesome. No wonder they put us on this task.

Sorry, sad attempt at some late-night humor. I'm tired give me a break =D

Thats could very well be a true story.

I have to always ask for the foam cups at MC D's or they dont stay put.

Yeah our cars don't have the greatest cup holders. They are better than my old f150, they could even hold a water bottle, at least these can keep them from flying out during slow turns.

I don't have an issue with our cup holders, they fit my coffee containers perfectly as do the ones in our back seats. Want more/bigger cup holder trade for some big azz SUV....

No problem is it won't even hold a can of rockstar without it falling sideways.

Door panels have bottle holders.. use those for your bottles lol..

I keep a paper napkin in the car to wedge in between the bottle/can/whatever if it doesn't fit perfectly into the center console cup holders..

(also keep a napkin under the cup to soak up the condensation too lol)
