This is what I think when I read many posts on this forum. Then I feel bad for the kids who've grown up without someone who could teach them some of the most basic things required to be a man.

There's also something to be said for the negative aspect of how reliable cars have gotten. When I was a kid, you didn't leave town without checking coolant and oil levels, and you changed your spark plugs at least every year.

We're slowly approaching the second generation of drivers who have never had to change the spark plugs in their cars. I suppose it is to be expected that basic understanding of how cars work will deteriorate.

And to the OP, just to help you understand a little better what's going on...or at least better communicate the problem, it probably wasn't "smoke" coming from your engine...it was more likely "steam".

How do I bleed the system???

So I can't just put the coolant in the coolant tank... Please help I most likly have a job interview in a few hours.

Since your G is over heating you need to fill the radiator and overflow tank and check for leaks. You need to ask yourself, "Self where did all that fluid go?" At our last meet here in SoCal we had a member asking why his G was overheating only to discover the overflow tank was wasted/cracked and zero fluid in his radiator....

When I first got the car, 2 months ago, i don't remember the coolant tank being that full anyway... SO what DO I do, but coolant in the radiator and coolant tank??
