G35 = Skyline?

I've heard more than a few times that people say the G35 is basically a Skyline. The G35 obviously looks so different and so much better than the Skyline, which I think is just ugly as hell. Can someone please educate me on what parts of these 2 cars share? Suspension? Engine?

you're looking at an R34 skyline, the G35 is the Skyline 350GT

you guys should know this by now man...
Nissan Skyline 350GT = Infiniti G35
difference are the emblems and some options obviously japan has more options for the car, and they also have the different interior leather they call it the Pearl Suede & Leather Combination.
