automatic windows and tint

hi everyone,

i purchased a G35 last week and plan on getting it tinted. i've noticed the G35 has a feature that when you open the door, the windows slightly roll down and when you close the door they roll back to the top.

when i've had cars tinted in the past, they say not to roll down/up your windows for about 3 days or so.. will this automatic window thingy affect the tint? i don't want it to bunch up or something because of the automatic windows going up/down a little

I got my windows tinted and had no issue with this... That would be the quality of tint though.

I'm a fairly new owner and haven't gotten into the fuse box, but you could prob pull the window fuse to keep that from happening. I'm fairly certain it shouldnt matter either way, but if the tint shop insists, that may be your work around. Mine r tinted, but I bought it like that.
Good luck!

Don't worry about it. Just let your tint guys know this. They probably will notice on their own like mine did. They will dry the tint more in the upper window so that it won't be affected.

There is a screw in the door near the lock that allows the window to go upwards when the door is closed to prevent the glass from breaking. Once the tinter sees you have this feature he will remove the screw and just make sure you dont slam the door closed. That atleast what i did and not a single issue.

The slight movement of the windows didn't bother my tint at all.

My tint place made it a point to explain how they were going to do it.

All depends on the shop doing it. I was rolling my windows up and down the same day I got them tinted.

When I had mine tinted, the shop just made sure to dry the tops really well and put a sticker over the window switches and mine have been fine for almost two years now.

I had my front windows tinted in May 2010 and the window slip feature hasn't caused any issues with the tint itself.
