What is up with my window molding? Why does it pop up like this?

So I got my car repainted a couple years ago, but when i got the car back it started to do this on the window moldings whenever I'd roll the windows down... or sometimes just for the hell of it.

WHat is up with this? Am I missing some clip? How can I fix this?

New moldings?

I think there are little metal clips in the molding and if you tweak them a little to make them hold/grab better it should do the trick, assuming they are still there (note: I have not done this on the G but have on other vehicles and it worked).

Best of luck,
Jason

Thanks! Will look into it.

Probably will have to buy new ones then. How much do they cost? Any idea?

That's not normal, if you g is under warranty it should be replaced by the dealer..if not..you'll have to buy one. I don't know where to buy one..but they are called "doorbelt trim/molding".

Some urethane will hold that down. I wouldn't buy new one.

I think im missing a hook or something. Do you have a pic of the hook? Mine pops up no matter what.

I roll the windows down, and push REALLY hard on it, like all my body weight on it, and it still doesnt work. It will pop up again.

Reminds me of Robitussin and Chris Rock.
