To be honest I'm not really sure. At first I thought it was a lighter smoke but it looks more grayish than anything. Definitely not black though. When I first thought it was white smoke I thought fml my head gasket but the oil looks fine and I'm not losing any coolant...

Anybody know how to test the coil packs?? Or can u know if they are bad just by looking at them?

Ok so after doing some researching I came across a test that at idle disconnect the coils one by one and if the idle doesn't change when u unplug then it's a bad coil. And the last coil on the right bank made no changes when unplugging so I ordered a coil should be here in a few days and I'll update...

I hope that is it! That will be cool if you can fix the problem yourself.

Seriously... I had my mind made up that I was just gonna take it to the Nissan dealership Monday morning. But when I got out of work today I was just like what the heck let's give this b!tch one more try (cross my fingers when this coil pack shows up)

Good idea taking her to Nissan! Hope the correction/fix is easy and not expensive! You can add 30%+ had you taken your G to Infiniti stealership!

The closest infinini stealership is about a 45 minute drive and really didn't want to risk that but in hoping it's not something crazy or else it's going to be a nice driveway ornament for a while. **** kills me I just dropped 11k on this and still haven't gotten to drive her... **** is depressing!

Keep us posted.

It could also be oil pooling in the sparkplugs causing it to misfire.

there was only oil on top of the driver side valve cover assuming from either the last kid spilled some when trying to pour it in or when he dropped the car off the oil cap was not tight. and i only found oil on top of the second spark plug on the driver side also assuming that the coil pack wasnt sitting securely. i quick cleaned up the oil on the valve cover when i found it and have yet to see anymore...

Mini update nissan called saying that they are going to need to keep the car overnight and keep diagnosing first thing in the morning. All he could tell me was that the mechanic was trying to determine whether or not the maf sensor is having anything to do with the now multiple cylinder misfires... And btw not instead of random misfire code I have multiple misfire codes and intake temp code and some maf code.....

Ok so another update just went to Nissan dealership and seriously FML!!! piston rings are ****ed and they say it would be more cost effective to replace the entire motor than to tear it apart... Which after buying the car I have absolutely no money for and have no idea what I'm gonna do. I'm having some crazy anxiety attacks now I'm so f*cked!!

That fkn sucks! I am really sorry to hear that man. Did you buy the car from a private party, auction or a used dealership? I hate to think you have to take full responsibility for this on your own if you just bought it.
