Quote: I'm 47 and don't see stopping anytime soon. Owned performance cars since I was 15.
I've attended alot of car shows and plenty of guys in thier 60's and 70's driving HotRods and other modded vehicles.
always felt we're the next generation of hot rodders.. with better lookin cars i do have respect for those dudes, tho.

That's too funny, I'll be 43 later this year and I'm just as active modding as I was at 23.

Wish i had more money or got sponsered but hey i got my car a lil over 4 months ago and immediatley i had a mental pic of what my 06 dg coupe should look like i did so much since then just cant wait til i put it away for the winter so i can save money and do more. No girl. No kids and im staying w my mother still. I love modding. Its been my life and love for cars why stop if u love the way people ask u questions and stare at artwork because ur car is ur signature mod forever!!!!

I just mod for performance. About the only semi-flashy mod I would do on my car is exhaust because I love the sound.... I could care less what other people think about that.

You think modding is addictive, you should try doing it to a sport-bike. Every little mod or weight-saving thing you do makes a much bigger difference than in a car. Wicked fun!

I think it's all relative. I'm 39 and feel sometimes like "why the hell am I doing this. It's a young dudes game". Fun nevertheless, but still I feel a little old to be contemplating all the list of Mods one can do.

It also may depend on what field or career you're in. If you're a business dude and your co-workers roll into work in SUV's and 4 door Beemers, how would you feel rollling up in a dropped G with super loud exhaust and flashy rims? Others may belittle you and say "Act your age" or get an age appropriate ride. Some of my friends give me sh*t and say "Bro, you're not 20 anymore". I think they're just jealous to be honest with you.

Alot of things factor into your decision and only you will know if serious modding fits into your lifestyle. Personally for me, I did more aesthetic mods more than anything. For me, a more age appropriate ride like a BMW M6 is hopefully in my near future. Modding my G slightly will make me happy until I can pull the trigger on that beast of a ride. lol

I'm 49. I used to work on my car because I had to. Now I work on it because I want to. This car is easy mod and work on. I have wheels, plenum spacer, Stillen intake, Z-springs in rear for slight drop. I thought I was too old, but I don't care.

Yes, way too old. If you're 25+, time to go for classy.

i always thought my g was classy. not too many youngsters have this car in my area. drop it, put an exhaust and some nice lookin wheels on it and you're set.
