I've read that 06-07 have clutch problems. Any things to look out for with our clutches?

Replace pivot ball while you are at it with chromoly. Not sure if your slave is internal or not but for $30 you should replace that as well. Not sure if you can return your kit but IPP has a good deal on a complete kit that comes with Pivot ball, Clutch line, Nismo bearing, Lightened flywheel and clutch.

I dunno man, my clutch petal isnt coming all the way back up sometimes, im also getting a squeaking noise when i push the clutch in, im hoping those problems go away when i change the pressure plate out. but i only have 45 thousand miles on the car 60 percent of which are highway, im kind of puzzled because i have been driving stick for years and never had one go this fast. I have a feeling im going to have alot of problems with this car down the road which scares me. The engine has already been replaces 25 k ago for OC, the clutch went, my entire RAS system had to be replaced because it had a grinding noise, the rear spline??? or something had to be replaced because the car was making a wierd noise in reverse out of my driveway and now its making it again. I really hope im wrong because i always had the belief that nissan/infiniti are reliable brands but you never know

DEFINITELY bleed the clutch and replace with new fluid from an unopened bottle!!! you may not have a bad clutch. 2 summers ago my clutch pedal started staying partially depressed and the harder i drove and the hotter i got it, the worse the problem became. I was 99% sure it was that the fluid needed to be replaced (it absorbs moisture from the atmosphere over time and will then be prone to boiling) but got the dealer to replace the master cylinder and bleed/replace the fluid. i pushed for them to do that since it was nearly out of warranty so i figured i'd get some new parts while i could.

anyway, this summer it's started to do it again. I haven't bled the fluid yet (maybe tomorrow) but i'm certain it's going to fix the problem again

i strongly recommend you do this before dumping a lot of money and time into a clutch replacement that you might not need

This....^....isn't any indication that your clutch is bad! Clutch pedal not returning is caused by the clutch cylinder failure. Clutch fluid should have been replaced at your 30K mile service....was it? Clutch pedal squeak....SEARCH there's a fix for that too.

^^^^ Agreed! If your clutch pedal is sticking or feels very spongy or sticky after driving the car in traffic, get your cylinders checked. they just replaced my slave cylinder under warranty after I complained about the clutch. I haven't noticed any problems with the sticking pedal yet since the fix.

Hopefully it will stay this way!

I had an 05 before I got my 03 and the clutch went out on my 05 at around the same miles, the dealer said it was a common problem but since it was a manual it wasn't fully covered by manufacturer warranty and I had to pay 1400 out of pocket (included labor). Good luck man, thankfully I have not had the same problem on my 03
