yeah it would win big tie it is 100 grand more then our car and it is have 2 time the number of cylinders plus twin turbos. yeah it would totally destroy us even if it weighed 4 times as much that is so much power it is disgusting.

It's only 90 grand more! OK, after taxes it's probably 100 grand.

I didn't think the CL600 was a twin turbo. Thought it was just NA. I think the AMG version might have a supercharger though..

The new SL600 are all TT 12 cylinders. The SL500 is NA and the SL55 is a supercharged 5.5 liter v8. They both have about 496hp with the torque on the 600 somewhere around 620ftlbs. I drove an S55 the other day and it was a potent cruiser to say the least!! It runs a 0 to 60 in 4.9 with the SL slightly quicker at 4.4

I think a race between CL600 and a 6MT would be close 0-60 and 1/4 mile. On the freeway though it will win.

I know I raced my brothers 2001 S600 and that car will beat the G. And my old E55, well that's another story. That will spank the G's butt. But I love driving the G.

Boy I sure wish the nav system had a feature of who and who not race. I would have got my a$$ wiped.

 

If it was a 2001 or 2002 CL600 it would be a pretty even race up to about 80 mph or so then the CL600 would start to pull away little by little, but if it was a 2003 than for get it, those do 4.6s to 60mph.

 

Sorry Wreck, but 0-60, 1/4 mile, anything against a CL600 and a G35 is gonna end up with a G35 getting burnt. Not even close man, you're giving up over 100 ponies, and even more importantly, over 150 ft/lbs of torque!

Ahh, but for those on a budget of well under 100 grand, the G35 is certainly a lot of fun...

My apology to you and the lady, I have trying to buy either an SL or CL55 recently and the old mind missed that important first letter in her question. They are all nice, merc's and G35's, my girlfriend drives a blck 6m coupe, it is a riot to drive.

That new cl600 benz is sooooo fast. The sadan runs quarter mile in low 12's and high 11's. If it is chipped then low 11's. I imagine the coupe will be faster.
