You obviously have not seen maximas HIDs side by side ours. My cousin just bought a maxima, I noticed how nice her HIDs were and had my car side by side. Ours look like regular halogens in certain angles compared to the maxima. The maxima has a slight bluish/purple tint on certain angles. This is comparing an 06 projector g35 to a 07 stock maxima HIDs. Looks similar to bmws, audi, s2000 cutoffs.

I've heard of people swapping out the lenses. Apparently TSX lenses are awesome.

If cutoff means that much to you mod yours, there is a diy to do it. Our hid's do not suck by any means though.

Damn I must've posted this in the wrong forums feels like I'm in a honda forums, Lesson learned. Anyway upon more research (since half you guys have useless input) to the people that want to know what "cutoff" means for headlights, Turn on your headlights in front of a wall. The line where the light stops is the "cutoff" This is what reduces glare to on coming traffic or people driving in front of you. Here is an example of a NICE cutoff produced by modded g35 lens Ive been researching.

notice the line with the purple blue hue. remember these bulbs are still rated at stock 4300K. now when you look at the car at CERTAIN angles it looks like this

it has a blue/purple hue tint, which is similar to the TSX, s2000, bmws etc. WHILE still using the 4300K stock light output. This is what i want to achieve.

Now for the gay/RICER look I was talking about is when people just change the bulbs to some stupid "High rated ricer kelvin bulb) which are just bulbs coated with color which looks like this

This is the thread I found that I have been researching for future reference

https://g35driver.com/forums/lightin...eadlights.html

now for reference this is what stock 06 g35 projectors look like:

As you can see it sucks compared to other stock projectors.

Hopefully I helped any future members asking the same question
For those **** telling me to use the search button blah blah I did! I just wanted more input now since most of the threads were back in 2006.

if it bothers you so much you have the option to make them look like those sweet non ricer maxima lights you want, no big deal. i dont think any one here will lose sleep over the fact we dont have a purple line on our lights.
