I would love to hear the logic behind these TB spacers. The biggest gimmic next to the "ebay chips" that increase your hp 30+ and 20% increase in fuel economy.
To be honest, I feel better throttle response other than the "supercharge" or intake whistle sound which comes out from 2000rpm to 4000rpm. About the same in acceleration possibly. But due to the improvement in throttle response it feel as if I have a slight bump in torque. To be honest it is not that much of a difference. I have a 5 speed automatic and use it in the manual mode pretty much all the time. So the gearing and type of transmission might influence as well. Nothing large though. And I am still testing the mpg theory. So far it seems to be a bit better, but I will really know once 8 days go by. Haha

Very similar to the Placebo effect. You want to feel a difference so your mind makes you think there is a difference.

I was thinking about that possibility as well. Could be. I do however want to test out the mpg myth.Originally Posted by 4D05G35

To be 100% honest with you. After I installed the OBX TBS I have in my G35... My car gas consumption was a couple of mpgs better, my tank lasted more as well, and I am not sure but I might have slightly a bit more torque. Other than the SC sound from 2000rpm up to around 5000rpm. but thats just me... I still have to tune the car and finish adding bolt ons for proper consumption. Its more like a 'Pshhhhhhhhh"Originally Posted by Easyday35

installed the obx throttle body spacer on my 06 5AT with no mods other than a furookie intake with k&n filter and ive noticed a little difference with gas and it ultimately just makes the intake louder, gives it a supercharger sort of sound. turns heads with it for sure when you rev around 3000rpm!

1. Car sounds better imo
2. Slight increase in throttle response
3. Slight increase in mpg
Don't have to believe me but absolutely no losses.

I installed the OBX TB Spacer yesterday. I have it paired with the Kinetix V+ plenum and stillen ztube/airbox. This thing is loud and gives off that nice SC sound. My stock exhaust now is deeper with some subtle backfire but that's from the Kinetix.

I have 5at with 5/8" engine spacer, k&N short air intake, resonated test pipes, megan y-pipe with highflow custom muffler resonator, topspeed pro-1 catback exhaust (with remap and other mods like transgo valve body upgrade). I ordered aam throttle body spacer. Will it remove the little high sound I have from 2000 to 3000 rpms? Or is it better to get also lower plenum to get a deep sound instead of the rasp inside?
Help plz (my exhaust now is not that high but I want a deeper aggressive tone)
