Intake Question! Help Please.

Hey guys when i got my G it had this "unknown" Intake. Has no brands or logos what so ever. all i know its made in japan and the filter says "bomz" kinda sketchy so i want to remove it from the car because im afraid it might do more harm than good. I wanted to install a CAI, SR, Or go back to OEM with Z Tube. So my real question is if i want to go back to OEM with a z tube what parts will i need ? i cant find a complete oem intake system to save my life. thanks.

just my $0.02.. I bought a CF Z tube from thezstore.com and then bought a JWT Pop Charger from b2autodesigns.. And let me just say this, even though its hotter the hell in TX, my intake romps!! I love the way WOT sounds and when i drop gears.. but to each his own modding lol

^^ how so? I read plenty up before buyin and of course there's the heat soak issue... but I have had the pop on for over 4 mos and I am yet to be discouraged. And once I install my TP's and MREV2, I'll even be more happy...

I never experienced heat soak from my pop charger. Maybe it's just not noticeable to me. In that case, who cares? I'm not a racer..

yea and heat soak is more likely to happen when your stuck in that Cali Traffic .. so why do you need Hp in traffic? and i want sound over performance.. but im going to try out this random intake for a while and see if it gives me any issues. Either way I might just end up with a pop charger Thanks Guys. Ill post a pic of the intake later to see if anyone can ID it.
