Rear shuddering w/ wheel spacers

I've searched the crap out of this topic before I made a thread, I even PMed a few people.

Didn't find too much, so I'm looking for help from the masses.

I put on 25mm Kday spacers on the front, and 31mm on the rear. I love them, they're perfect.

I had the fenders rolled for clearance, as i'm lowered on tien h techs for the 350z.

So on to my issues, at speeds over 65 mph, my steering wheel starts to shudder a little bit, it's not so bad that I HAVE to slow down, but it's certainly noticeable.

I also have shuddering from the rear wheels at those speeds. the shuddering from the wheels make me extremely nervous, so I've been going easy on the speed lately. I'm 100% sure that the shuddering is caused by the spacers as i had NOTHING like this before. I took the spacers off the rear and went driving and replicated the driving, no shuddering at all.

One of my friends suggested I might need another alignment due to the spacers pushing the wheels out and making things a little off. That makes sense to me, do you guys agree with him?

Everythings torqued down properly, and the spacers are installed properly, so I don't think it's a installation error.

So what do you guys think?

I have the same problem. At higher speeds it gets worse. I just took mine off completely before I ruin a wheel bearing or something else.

I just put some Z1 20mm spacers on today, okay okay... Daniel at Z1 did it....

But I drove back to Atlanta topping 100 at times with absolutely NO shake or anything odd.

Did you torque them enough? Are they cleanly seated? Is quality an issue with them.

I can't speak for any other spacer, and only had these a day, but they are rock solid so far.

I'd find a way to spin the spacers on a lathe or similar to see if they arent perfectly machined.

Maybe you mounted them wrong? Try again and see.

Sorry, you said you torqued them.

If install isn't a problem, that leaves the spacers themselves.

You know what you need to do, so do it.

Sounds like your spacers aren't hubcentric. You will need to buy hubcentric rings if they'
re not. Without them your wheel isn't seated firmly on the spacer causing the wobble or shake you are experiencing.

my alignment was good before i put the spacers on. my friend thought that it could be an alignment issue, but a lot of people here are saying they didn't need one.. so tomorrow i'm throwing my car back on the lift and taking the rears off. I'll clean them, make sure everything is smooth, secure, etc. And try one more time. If that doesn't do it, i'll do the alignment, if that isn't it... bah.

Hey Boss! If you don't mind me asking... what's "Z1"? Speed shop somewhere near ATL? I NEED that in my life, LOL. Thanks, bro!

Correct. Great group of guys, just not IN Atlanta.

They're out west on 20 past 6 Flags. It's an hour drive for me, but very worth a day spent learning and meeting people.

Edit: I got the ones with the bolts built in, not using extended bolts.

Sounds like the spacers aren't hubcentric. Especially since you said you took them off and the wheel shakes went away.

I came across your Kday Review thread and it looks like you had some issues with those spacers from the beginning. Maybe bad batch?

Spacers shouldn't mess up your alignment either.
