I just can't help but notice that my car at idle is one chatting loud mouth SOB. I just hear allot of chatter from both the motor and clutch. My oil is ok and always topped off. I use Synthetic oil. I do not hear knocking. Very slight ticking but that could be resonating from anywhere. On some days I hear it all the way in the rear of the motor then on other days it comes from the front of the car where the timing chain cover sits. It doesn't burn too much oil. When I did pull all the plugs they were golden tanned at the tips. Perfect burn in my opinion. The belts are good to. No squeeks. Fans seem ok. Plus the car runs really strong.

But enough of that. There are no leaks, no smoke, no surging idle, oil and all fluids are fresh and topped off. Nothing that sticks out at me except for how this car sounds. I also average 600-700 RPM during idle.

So is it just the nature of the beast?

What's your take on this?

I use Mobil 1 Synthetic.....Should I use Castrol Synthetic European Blend to quite her down a bit?
