Convertible Coupe Due in '06? Photo........
Found this picture on the Modern Racer website. The text that went with it says -
"2006 Infiniti G35 Wagon/Roadster
On Sale : Late 2005
Nissan is actively designing many more variations of the BMW-chasing G35. After the AWD sedan released in late 2003, other models being shown to focus groups include a practical wagon and an AWD crossover version in the vein of Subaru and Volvo. Also expected in late 2005 is a convertible version of the 290 hp coupe."
There are many shots/renditions of 2006 cars that were interesting to look at, you can check them all out at -

Custom Carrige Works CAN make your G Coupe into a convertible! Unfortunately it comes at a "little" price. For ONLY $16K they'll custom chop, design, rail, and canvas your G into a one of convertible. For roughly $20 they'll even add a removable fiberglass hardtop! A small price to pay for a totally one of custom job! CCW is infamous for building the very first convertible full size Cadi's, Benz's, first converitible Z06 Vette, Bettle, Hummer, and many others. They have also worked hand in hand with many auto manufacturers in designing prototype convertible designs, as in many cases they've been doing it a lot longer, not to mention better, then the big auto companies. It's not for everyone, but if you've got some extra dough laying around (to the tune of twenty grand) you can have one of the only convertible G's around! Oh and in case you're wondering, will this drop your G's value, well anytime you modify your car to such extremes, many will argue that you're in fact actually taking away from the cars true value, but with CCW's work being so sought after and of such high detail and quality, CCW's converted cars actually net much higher resales due to thier unique one of nature. If you're worried about structure and over-all performance, due to the fact they'll be cutting away your cars roof and portions of the rear, what they cut, they make up for with CAD designed reinforcements all through the body. They can even go as far as to utilize carbon fiber and special alloys to keep from "weighting" down sports cars (if thats an issue). All in all, from what I've read and see at auto shows, CCW makes some awesome convertibles. I would do it if I had the extra $$$....

I have to agree that it's a photoshop that's been around for as long as the Coupe has.
It doesn't mean it's not coming, but I doubt this pic has anything to do with it's arrival.
