I would say that smokes your NSX easily and is probably cheaper than a stock NSX. But again, so what? There is always someone faster, and your car, although it's very nice, doesn't even come close to being scary fast.

Funny, he says he's not full of himself but then goes right back to bragging about how fast his car is. It's probably a combination of some inadequacy issues and wanting to start juvenile flame wars. What happened over at 350z again? Oh yea, flames. Big suprise...

I said nothing about racing Vetts did I? I said 500hp cars. I never said I could beat a Vette with 725 RWHP did I? I know what Scary fast is. I had a 1990 Mustang back in 1997. It ran 10.8's on motor and 9.5's with the bottle. It was clocked at 191 mph with 1500rpm left on a top end run on a closed road.
Mind you this was back in 97, and technology has come a long way.Very soon you will see 9 second NSX's. When it happens I will build one. For now I will stick with my 2002 NSX T. Sure it only runs low 11's but I love it. To most people 11's is fast, don't you agree? How many other cars have you seen FIRST HAND run 11's, 10's, 9's in street trim, how many have you driven?
So am I bragging or just telling you what the Mustang ran, what NSX's will soon run? Can a person not share their time slips under the conditions they occored without being accused of bragging?
It does take two to have a flame war. Are you attempting to start one? If so you can play with your self and count me out. My only inadequacy is......oh well can't think of any.

I see a lot of people calling you out, that's easy to fix, take a pic of your NSX, your G and your Mustang all together then they can believe it or not.

Either way, I don't get all excited about all the bragging, but I did like the NSX that the article was written on, whether it was yours or not!

The internet is full of pretenders, If I were in your shoes I would just post pics and proof that I was who I said I was (not that I would have to or anything but I would just the same)

JGTCNSX, I'm afraid I'll only believe any of this if and only if you let me take all of your cars out for a drive. (jk)

I'm not calling anyone out, and don't doubt anyone has what they say, and really don't care for that matter. There is just a way of "sharing your slips" without sounding quite so arrogant. Didn't he already basically admit to causing all kinds of problems at 350z? Why do you think that happened? If mention of that was not prodding enough I don't know what is.

As far as the NSX goes, considering that it's been basically the same design for 15 years, if they haven't come out with an ultra high perf package by now then I wouldn't hold my breath. When was the LPE TT kit out, like two years after the C5 was born? If I was looking for the ultimate I would go for a car that can actually deliver the goods, but if you are happy at just 11's then whatever works for you I guess =)

the spam is at the bottom of my post

I keep hearing people talk about the nsx as an overpriced sports car. For one thing i think of it as an exotic personally because it is hand built if im not mistaken... and look at it. ever since the best motoring video of new vs old nsx's that i saw, i have been a big fan. Sure you can get a lot faster car than an nsx for 90k.... but hey... if we're going on these standards wouldnt all rich buisness men drive s13 1via's with rb swaps and drag tranny's running 1500hp? If people didn't care about style over performance, there would be no ferrari's or porsche's..... I really dont think ive seen a ferrari do well up against r34's on tracks and think about the difference in price. If you rolled up in an r34 with 1000hp do you think that you would get the same response as a bone stock porsche? No matter what you say... 99% of the world would not even know what a skyline is if it werent for Need FOr speed or fast and the furious

i hate when people flame grammar/spelling/sentance structure online. Maybe this has nothing to do with this thread, but it's just something that caught my eye. I may not be able to bitch about this like he can (english is my first language and im definatly not going to MIT), but give the guy a break. When i post on an internet forum im typing 130 words per minute and not hitting my shift key. When i write a paper for english class i proof read and type about half that speed. Do you talk the same to your friends in a restraunt as you would a client in the buisness world? I'm not saying that this guy isn't full of it or that he isnt a ***** (i really dont like the way he talks about himself personally), but im also a 17 year old vagrant living off my parents, driving a $40,000 car that i did not pay for, and definatly am impressed by anyone who has gotten to a point where they can drive a $90k car. Oh and i also know a guy who is a semi-retired pilot who went to brown who did very well for himself and is about 50 years old.... which i guess is at least a little relevant.

I myself, have a G35 Coupe 6MT as a daily....it's too slow to mod up, so I just leave it the way it is, with the exception of a Injen CAI...

daaaaanggg... this thread is out of control. i guess i might think the same as all the doubters here, except that this guy is one of our customers. anyways, not to rain on your party but, steph papadakis (aem pro rwd civic) is the world's quickest import drag racer: 6.54 @ 211.8mph. and guess what, he runs an nsx 3.2l motor! granted, it's a drag car, but if we're talking about the potential in the design, well, it's already been proven to be the bread winner.

just comptech headers and exhaust, eibach springs, w/stock wheels and the ssr's that are on the car now. i paid to much, $45k w/ 49k, but i wanted it so wtf. the funny thing is that my dad liked it so much he ordered a 2005 silver w/ black. nice to have a fellow g35 and nsx owner on the board. i would post more on the nsx site, but because there are so few owners the responses take days. this site is great and forget any members who dont think your cars are also.thanks

nsxprime.com gets fast response with any NSX questions. Not sure if you have been there before. $45K is not to bad, I would of paid that for a Zanzrdi. Maybe we will see a type R in the US next year.

I agree with you completely.

Which is why I called the NSX "straight rice".

I almost bought an 02 NSX.

The snapperhead dealers wanted $72K for this imola orange 4K miles NSX-T w/ CTSE.

Before I threw down my hard earned equity line duckets on a $70K honda (gotta love socal RE), I compared the nsx w/ $100k of p-,f-, and mb-car.
What I came away with is that the NSX needs to be retired.

290Hp/MR setup aside...Compare the NSX's interior and quality with a 911, 355, Sl55....I dunno, but the X sure does look like a mid-90s accord pitted against the lovely new 997 (w/ full cocoa leather interior).

Cmon.

get real.

You're a Porsche fan right? I do not know Porsche so correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Porsche basically run the same body and interior for like 15 years? The NSX is slated for a complete make over. I for one will be in line for the next gen NSX. I still don't get the "total rice" remark. Maybe you should rephrase.
72K for a 4K mile Imolia Orange 2002 NSX T is not all that bad. I am sure you could have bought it for upper 60's. Did you mean CTSC (Comptech Super Charger) not CTSE? If the 02 NSX had a CTSC and only wanted 72K, you should have bought it. Darn good price if that was the case
Think about this. The NSX is hand built/assemled, engine, body, ect. They only bring in 200 NSX T's a year. There are only about 10-12 thousand NSX's in the US today. I go all over the country and I very rarely see an NSX, I do see Porsche, Vettes, Vipers much more often. 90K is list on the NSX T. If you pay that much you did not shop around. Realistically you can get a new NSX T for 80K. For 80K you get a bone stock NSX that runs .97 G in the corners, can click off 12.9's-13.1's in the 1/4 mile, 178 top end, and hold its value better than most other cars out there. With mods you can run solid 11's and 12's, 180 mph, 1G plus in the turns. What's Rice about that?
Oh, and the remark "a mid 90's Accord" that is a bit overboard. The NSX has been mistaken for Ferrari, new Vette, Lambo, but never an Accord. You may like instulting the X now, but you did say you almost bought one. That makes you a hypocrite. So, did you buy a 997 or what?

Comptech sport exhaust.

Sorry I must be speaking porsche-speak.

They actually called me back 4 weeks later after the x was unsold and offered it to me for $65K - but I'd already been hooked.

When I mean rice, i mean the 80s inspired interior. Why couldnt acura update the car more?

I drove several 997 and 996 (including a TT), a 355 ferrari and SL55 over the same two week stretch. even the outgoing model 996 (5 yrs old) handily outdoes the X in terms of interior quality and appointments. Sure, you dont see to many NSXs out there - but that's for a reason.

In all fairness I used to love the NSX. I drive my neighbors 91 coupe all the time. Its a great car....for $30k. However, to pay any more $40s is crase (IMO). We'll see a new NSX in *maybe* 4 years. Honda let the X grow long in the tooth, they're canning the S2000...

If you're gonna pay...may as well play eh?

Maybe I have a loose definition of rice - but I appreciate the capabilities a car possesses in stock form. Too much tampering in my book quickly turns into an unintended abomination.

Hey, if a Civic w/ an h22 swap spraying, front wheels clawing for traction and all is rice....then so is a $35K "exotic" w/ $20K in mods....no matter what any import magazine ("2f2f quarterly") dictates.
